MOCAP Bamboo Clock
J.P.Meulendijks design studio Monday 05 Aug 2013

This eye-catching bamboo wall clock changes shape as you view the clock from different angles. When standing in front of the clock the numbers are clear and visible, when you walk around it, the numbers slowly dissolve, seemingly falling apart in little floating white balls.

The clock face is finished with a black matt effect, causing the white detailing to stand out and float in mid-air. The clock hands subtly stand out in black gloss against the matted background.

This optical illusion results in a striking and intriguing piece of wall-art inspired by the ‘motion capture’ techniques used in filmography. Click here to see a MOCAP in action.

Bamboo was the chosen material by the designers due to its flexible and renewable properties as one of the most environmentally sustainable woods available.

The clock retails at 186,00 Euro ( 247,00 USD) with the dimensions: diameter, 600 mm and height, 20 mm.
