The Greyhound, Kew Green
Although situated in an affluent surrounding, The Greyhound in Kew, Surrey was in desperate need of modernisation in its common areas such as the main bar, the garden and parts of the restaurant / function room.
The desire was to create a quality, comfortable environment for customers to frequent for an early morning coffee or an evening meal, whilst steering clear of being typecast as another Gastro pub.
Individual enclosed bamboo "Pods" enable clients to enjoy an intimate setting, with self controlled heating and a service call button. Imported Turkish light features scattered throughout the interior serve as focal points along with the décor and ornaments sourced from South Africa.
Whilst retaining its relationship with the ground floor the above level had to emit a more secluded, intimate feel to offer a quality dinning environment. The private dining area provides a secluded environment for an intimate dinner party or an important business meeting.
Using local tradesmen the project took 3 months to complete and the completed establishment becomes a welcome addition to the picturesque Kew green.
