Second place was awarded to WorthGroup Architects of Denver, CO, for a series of avant-garde wine racks, created for the sophisticated 1832 Steakhouse at the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. Seemingly suspended in the air, the custom-woven racks hold 150 wine bottles and are constructed from Moz solid-core aluminium in a Coral pattern with chocolate-tone finish. Second place award was $500.
Fogo de Chao Churrascaria in Scottsdale, AZ, took third place honours with an Electric Red Moz custom exhaust hood cover placed over the restaurant's fire-lit rotisserie. With live flames dancing under the churrasco, Moz solid-core aluminium was wrapped around the stainless steel shroud that crowns the rotisserie hood. Moz metal panels were finished in a swirling Waterfall pattern and were mounted four inches off the shroud to heighten the illusion of floating flames.
'Inspired by Moz' was initiated to recognise the creative use of Moz decorative materials in a wide range of installations, including residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational and institutional. The competition was open to all industry professionals.
