Meyer Davis' design pays homage to the architectural ingenuity of Chicago and mirrors the city's energy, invention and industrialism. Chic, modern and vibrant, W Chicago Lakeshore is characterized by energetic colours, contemporary furniture and modern lighting that mimics the vibrant lights of the city skyline
Meyer Davis have utilized the textural and light qualities distinct to the hotel's Lakeshore Drive location, metallic and lacquered finishes reflect the incredible views of the hotel, and combine the shimmering beauty of Lake Michigan with the urban energy of the city while revealing layers of the city's architectural ingenuity.
Sleeker, sexier, sassier public areas include a new signature farm-to-table restaurant, CURRENT, a new Living Room concept, and an expansion of the hotel's prime meeting and event space, Altitude, which boasts 360 views of the city. W Chicago Lakeshore's 520 guestrooms and suites showcase a palate of greys, whites and blacks and also incorporate design elements that reflect the local scene. For example, metal finishes and mirrors in guestrooms overlooking the glimmering waters of Lake Michigan use reflections of the lake as art, while guestrooms facing the cityscape have been designed to complement Chicago's urban architecture.
