TOSCA is a vibrant dining concept created by Henry Chebaane from the preeminent London design studio Blue Sky Hospitality. This vast dining emporiumoffers a broad range of sensory experiencesover 2,200SqM of internal and external dining space on the shore of the Caspian Sea.
Located on Baku's main boulevard, TOSCAprovidescustomers with a stylish, modern Mediterranean lifestyle café including espresso and wine bar, patisserie and ice-cream counters,as well as a large exterior terrace planted with aromatic trees. The exciting dining space is anchored by a large open kitchen covered in white subway tiles, with charcoal grill and wood-fired oven.
Nautical warehouse detailing, Italian deli packaging, olive wood artefacts and jars of pickled lemons are just some of the mood elements that are effectively staged and accented by a complex multi-layered lighting scenography.
This buzzing dining concept has become in just a few months one ofthe most sought-after meeting places in the city, turning over 1000 covers/daily at the week-end.
The large exterior terrace planted with mature fig, olive and cypress trees has been a local meeting place for decades. Today the scene has been updated with theatrical lighting, a limoncello bar and an ice-cream cold stone station.
The brand identity, scenography and interior design have been created by Henry Chebaane and developed in the smallest detail by his Blue Sky hospitality design studio.
The design team took inspiration from the olive groves of Umbria, fig orchards of Campaniaand Sangiovesevineyards ofTuscanyfor a vibrant scheme of cool greens and warm reds, linen Corian, bronze glass mosaic, aged pewter, honey burr elm millwork and walnut timber floors.
In keeping with their holistic approach to experiential design in commercial spaces, Blue Sky Hospitality have also developed the uniforms, tableware, printed collateral, house scent, musical background, digital media, landscaping and lighting scenes.
