Lawson Robb was appointed to design one of the show apartments for the prestigious and luxurious development overlooking Hyde Park. The building has the longest retained grade II listed Georgian façade in Europe. It was important that the style complemented the stunning Georgian features and architectural heritage of the property which we felt was so integral for potential purchaser to ‘Owning a piece of London history'.

Inspiration for the concept was drawn from elements of certain cultural styles: the rich intricate inlays of the Middle East; the vibrancy of Southern Asia, American understated classical detailing paired with the simple lines and impeccable quality of European design. Influences were also taken from the calm proportions and structured patterns of the Far East and the opulent detailing seen in traditional Russian style.

Layering of these select elements allowed their harmonious marriage into a stylishly balanced scheme of understated luxury and sophistication. Materials used include silver leaf, pyrite gold, leather and suede, rich walnut, lacquer, liquid metal, velvet and bamboo fabrics, silk wallpaper, marble, antique mirror, parchment covered in piano glaze and specialist metallic paint finishes. We developed finishes specifically for this project which have never been used before. The majority of the furniture for the project was bespoke with incredible detailing including leather wrapped doors with stitching details & liquid metal finished applied to existing cupboard doors.
