Kyoto Sideboard
Colonel Thursday 13 Mar 2014

French brand Colonel kept it simple with the design of this minimal yet stylish Kyoto Sideboard, drawing inspiration from partitions found in Ryokan (traditional Japanese inns).  With accent doors in pale grey or sunny yellow, Kyoto was designed by Isabelle Gilles and Yann Poncelet and built to last, thanks to its solid beech wood frame.  The design blends simplicity and function, obscuring from view the user's possessions with criss-crossed grid-lined doors, whilst maintaining the option of partial closure to display the objects within.
