a monthly round-up of the world's best interiors and design stories
Inspired by traditional quilting, the Jehs+Laub Collection—which includes a Lounge Chair and Ottoman—creates a dialogue between functional form and sculptural shapes. Comprised of block patterns that are joined and completed with a surrounding border, the collection, true to its Knoll pedigree, combines hand produced craftsmanship with distinctive style. The versatile collection, created for a range of settings and uses, is appropriate for reception areas, private offices, break-out areas or in the home, offering a welcoming retreat for working and relaxation. The upholstery process used to create the Jehs+Laub Collection utilizes hidden seam tufting, a technique which creates a clean surface without the need for traditional welts or buttons. The Lounge chair and Ottoman are available with a distinctive polished aluminium pedestal or a dynamic wire base; an optional articulating back provides enhanced comfort. KnollTextiles fabrics or Spinneybeck leathers with a welt detail offer maximum versatility.
