a monthly round-up of the world's best interiors and design stories
Donna Wilson's new collections of glassware and ceramics make use of bright illustrations and autumnal motifs for a countryside expedition inside of the home.
Donna's first full range of dinnerware, The Acorn Collection, features stylised acorns on a white ground and is a mid-century inspired collection of bone china plates, bowls and mugs, made in one of the last remaining factories in Stoke-on-Trent. The Acorn Collection prices range from £15 for the mug to £27.50 for the dinner plate.
The On the Rocks glassware collection includes handmade glass tumblers and a matching jug, both decorated with an aquatic island scene. This new collection adds to Donna's growing collection of tableware, along with screen-printed cotton napkins and placemats in bold folk flower and playful bird's nest designs. The On the Rocks Jug and tumbler with coordinating Rock the Boat tumbler feature Donna's illustrations and are decorated in Stoke on Trent. Prices are £42.50 for the jug and £10.00 for the tumblers.
Passionate about creating products that people can connect with, Donna Wilson's London based studio is committed to making things that their customers will treasure. UK based manufacturers and suppliers are used wherever possible so Donna feels that she's doing her bit to keep craftsmanship alive.
Glassware and ceramic products, as well as Donna Wilson's full Autumn 2012 collection, will be available from www.donnawilson.com from mid-September.
Donna Wilson set up her company in 2003 after making odd knitted creatures for her final show at the Royal College of art. The creatures sold out and since then she has built her business designing and making a collection of curious cushions, luxurious lambswool blankets, and variety of products for you and your home.
