a monthly round-up of the world's best interiors and design stories
Paisley was created by Spanish design studio Luis Eslava Studio for LZF Lamps.
It is a modular screen whose geometric, curvy shapes transform the light that passes through it. Paisley is an architectonic piece that allows us to define spaces by assembling several modules, but also a canvas where intricate shadows are projected and turned into an ornament, changing shadows that adapt themselves to the direction of light. Both the frame and the interior veneer lattice work are made of natural cherry veneer.
Lzf lamps, or formerly known as, Luzifer, is a small company founded in 1994, making handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer right from it’s beginnings. This noble material creates a spectacular lighting effect, projecting the internal beauty of the wood and radiating a delicately warm and attractive atmosphere to both domestic and contract settings. Winner of two Good Design, two Design Plus and one Red Dot prize, LZF has found its place amongst niche market suppliers worldwide.
