a monthly round-up of the world's best interiors and design stories
This Salone 2012 KnollStudio are proud to introduce a lounge collection designed by Pierre Beucler and Jean-Christophe Poggioli of Architecture & Associes. Beucler and Poggioli's architectural design gracefully balances culture and commerce with clients ranging from the Louvre and Cernuschi Museums in Paris, to some of the world's most prominent fashion houses.
Pierre and Jean-Christophe cemented their partnership and cultural relevance in 1993 with their critically acclaimed work for the opening of the Louvre's Greek, Etruscan and Roman Antiquities Room. The new AA sofa collection offers refined elegance while maintaining a casual and contemporary European aesthetic. The collection's exterior provides an enveloping surround to the inviting interior upholstery. All details are afforded the designers attention to detail, from the ‘bocca di pesce' cushion construction to the shadow gaps between the outer shells. The legs lend further structural grace between seating and ground, finished in eye catching copper or chrome.
The Beucler Poggioli sofa collection is available in two distinct heights: Low for formal interior spaces and high for more relaxed environments. Interior cushions are available for both commercial and residential applications. The collection comprises of 2 and 3 seat sofas, slipper chair, armchair, ottoman and chaise longue. The collection is offered in a wide range of upholstery including KnollTextiles and Spinneybeck leathers that add distinction to any interior. The dual tone nature of the upholstery offers the end user the opportunity to successfully harmonise the piece within any given interior.
The Beucler Poggioli Collection reflects the KnollStudio commitment to timeless, enduring design, continuing the Knoll legacy of producing furniture to the exacting standards of the designer and affirming our unwavering belief in the power and utility of modern design.
