Armadillo, a new texture for light
Armadillo, is a design by Spanish designer Eslava. Its shape reminds us of that strange mammal from Southern America whose activity starts at sunset. Armadillo gives a warm light, almost as timid as this little animal's attitude at dawn.
The lamp, woven in a coat of superposing scales, features a unique play of light and shadow. The textured material of the armour opens a whole universe of decorative ideas. It's sifted light gives the place a genuine warmness that proves perfect for public or private interiors.
Lzf lamps, or formerly known as, Luzifer, is a small company founded in 1994, making handmade lights exclusively out of wood veneer right from it’s beginnings. This noble material creates a spectacular lighting effect, projecting the internal beauty of the wood and radiating a delicately warm and attractive atmosphere to both domestic and contract settings. Winner of two Good Design, two Design Plus and one Red Dot prize, LZF has found its place amongst niche market suppliers worldwide.
