a monthly round-up of the world's best interiors and design stories
Henrybuilt, known primarily for its meticulously crafted kitchens, expanded its furniture offering with six new styles including the Wave Bench.
Henrybuilt's existing furniture collection, known for its elegant simplicity, was designed primarily as a complement to the company's kitchen system. The new styles, as illustrated by the Wave Bench, are designed to stand on their own and demonstrate a wider aesthetic range and a sophisticated combination of technology and handwork.
The Wave Bench combines a bold, serious form with a lighthearted approach to design. The "waves" distinguish seating spaces and the piece can be ordered with an integrated tic tac toe board and cup holders, inviting guests linger and interact with the object.
The bench is made from solid wood using interlocking and mortise and tenon joinery techniques. The elegant simplicity of the design relies on the best materials and careful craft. The bench is designed for a lifetime of daily use.
Made to order in lengths to 10', the piece is available in FSC certified woods including American Black Walnut, Riftcut White Oak, and Quartersawn Teak and Wenge. The bench shown is made from Wenge and is 17"H x 16"W x 120"L.
