A dynamic new office tower with a mix of commercial space and retail is planned for Cape Town’s foreshore
dhk architects has unveiled proposals for an elegant new office development, 35 Lower Long, situated in Cape Town’s growing Foreshore precinct. Designed for land owner Ellerine Brothers and developers Abland, the new tower replaces a lower building designed in the late eighties.   As one of the first of a cluster of taller buildings envisaged in a presently underdeveloped area that is rapidly emerging as Cape Town’s financial centre, the design of the building not only provides world class office space but aims to invigorate this part of the city, both on street level and within the greater cityscape. The sculptural building is characterised by dynamic glazed facades which extend seamlessly over the office and parking levels.
