Eleven architects and designers from Spain to Brazil have come together to design a 10-suite destination in Phuket, Thailand. Iniala Beach House is now open on the shores of the Andaman Sea, with guests able to choose between three villas, each of which contains three suites and their own spa. There is also the option of the Iniala penthouse suite, although guests are able to rent their entire resort should they so wish.
At the core of the complex is a traditional beach hut from the 20th century which has been modernised by Graham Lamb, the British designer who also created three additional villas based on the image of the Thai healing hands. Teak plays a strong role in the design, often intricately carved in reflection of local building practices.
