TDIC extends deadline for bid to build Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) which is leading the DH99bn Saadiyat Island development has extended the deadline for bids on the main contract to build the Louvre Abu Dhabi by an additional month, until 1st August 2010. French architect Jean Nouvel designed the 24,000 sq m museum which is scheduled for completion by September 2012. Click here to read a previous WAN article on the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Additional choice buildings on the Saadiyat Island development include the Zayed National Museum and Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.
