Canadian firm IBI buys Nightingale Associates for £13.1m

Following indications in March that parent company Tribal Group were intending to sell Nightingale Associates, Canadian architecture firm IBI Group have now officially bought the healthcare specialist for £13.1m. Nightingale was purchased by Tribal in 2002 for £9m and is currently one of the UK’s largest architectural practices with 260 staff in seven offices. So far there is no word on whether the workforce will be facing redundancies or pay cuts, however it has been confirmed that Nightingale’s senior managers will be staying on after the takeover.
