Call for entries to ADAM Architecture Student Travel Scholarship 2010

The closing date is nearly upon us for this year’s ADAM Architecture Student Travel Scholarship, which has, for the first time, been expanded to an international award. For the fifth year running, ADAM Architecture is offering the £1,500 award to an architecture student in order to fund their work, travel and accommodation during an architectural research trip. ADAM Architecture present the award to support and reward outstanding research in architecture and urban design. This year, students from overseas as well as the UK are invited to apply for the travel scholarship.

Michael Hammond, Editorial Director at World Architecture News.com and Sir Peter Hall, Bartlett Professor of Planning and Regeneration, University College London, will be joining the directors at ADAM Architecture on the judging panel for shortlisted students.

Michael Hammond, Editorial Director at World Architecture News.com who will be joining the judging panel, said: “This is an excellent initiative and in addition to the obvious travel opportunity, the preparation involved will provide a good grounding for understanding and addressing briefs so vital for the ultimate challenge facing any architect, winning work. I’m delighted to be involved in the first year of the scheme’s wider, international scope which will add even more value for the winner.”

Entries are sought from all UK and overseas schools of architecture students, from Part I up to 3 years after Part II, or equivalent qualification. The closing date for entries is Friday 14th May 2010. For more details about the award and information on how to enter, click here
