Does your boss complain that you spend too much time on Twitter? Or if you need something new to tweet about, then Function: 140 might be the perfect solution.

A daylong online conference designed to address topics of importance to the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) community, Function: 140 will be available to participants via the Twitter microblogging site so users can drop in and out as time permits.

Using #Function140, Function’s goal is to create an informal atmosphere for open discussion, questions and collaboration amongst industry peers.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., EST, head to Twitter to @FunctionAtlanta. You don’t need a Twitter account to view the posts but will need an account if you want to add comments.

The conference is hosted by Function, an Atlanta-based integrated marketing agency that specializes in connecting building product manufacturers to architects, engineers, product specifiers, facility managers, distributors and more. Function: 140 is intended for busy AEC professionals. Topics to be discussed include product specification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), building information modeling (BIM), retrofitting and more.
