Archial after Alsop

The architectural practise founded by Will Alsop has announced it will once again rebrand. The announcement was unveiled at the MIPM property conference at Cannes.

The current rebranding effort is one in a series of name changes the practice has undergone since Alsop sold his practice to Archial in 2006 and perhaps signals the firm has not yet hit its stride post-Alsop. In 2006 the firm Archial was rebranded as SMC Archial and in 2008 it reverted to the Alsop name to maintain its identity. The division will now be called Alsop Sparch to reflect the merger of Alsop with Asia-based subsidiary Sparch. Archial Chief executive, Chris Littlemore said the current rebranding effort will better position the firm for international trading.

Alsop left Archial in 2009 to join RMJM.
