Debris falls from unfinished Gehry project

High winds in Manhattan have caused 'debris' to fall from the unfinished Beekman Tower project designed by Frank Gehry. Notify NYC, an RSS service for 'emergency public communication' in the city issued four warnings yesterday that surrounding roads had been closed off. The falling debris affected several blocks in the area.

The under construction 76 storey tower features a 1.1 million sq ft structure sheathed in Gehry’s signature glass and crumpled stainless steel cladding atop a six-storey masonry podium.
