Gehry wine tops prestigious Spanish list

The Marqués de Riscal wine, Frank Gehry Selection 2001, has topped a list of 75 Spanish wines making up the Honours Board of the Guía Repsol 2009 (2009 Repsol Guide). 1,668 wines were rated by the sector's top tasters and receiving 99 points out of 100 in the highly esteemed ranking, which features only wines scoring over 95 points, the Frank Gehry Selection 2001 is now considered the best wine from Spain.

The limited edition tipple was concocted in celebration of the inauguration of the City of Wine, designed by Frank Gehry, and boasts a label designed by the renowned architect. Only 5000 bottles were produced.
