UIA launch new site for the East

The UIA has made live a new website for Region II members to share ideas, news and events and which regroups members in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Lisa Siola, UIA Vice-President for region II, Greek architect and urban planner , initiated the project and led it to realisation. She introduces the site in these terms: "Because UIA region II brings together two continents, it has a unique charisma and an exceptional richness in terms of civilisation and cultural diversity. This website is a symbolic bridge spanning 30 countries from eastern Europe to the Middle East, and I hope it will be used to share information, ideas, and visions of architecture and urban planning."

The site can be found at www.uia-region2.org
