Cannon Design appoint new Principal

Cannon Design, has announced the appointment of Eric Jaffe AIA as Principal at the firm.

An accomplished architect, Jaffe brings 14 years of experience to Cannon Design, with a portfolio of national and international work that encompasses large, complex project types—from science and research, healthcare and higher education facilities—to projects in commercial and cultural markets. Jaffe has been involved in all aspects of project delivery—from inception through to completion—and has a proven track record for building strong design teams through leadership and organization.

As Leader of the firm’s Science and Technology Practice on the East Coast, Jaffe will focus on business and strategic development of Cannon Design’s Science and Technology Practice, assisting the firm in its efforts to grow the research and laboratory planning practice market areas. Additionally, he will be responsible for design leadership, marketing, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, mentoring and project leadership.

Prior to joining Cannon Design, Jaffe served as Principal with RMJM, formerly Hillier. During his tenure at RMJM, his project work included significant transformational projects for top research institutions such as: the Dubai Consulate Complex, Duke University Medical Research Building and Global Health Research Building, George Mason University Regional Biocontainment Lab and BSL-3 Lab Conversions and Synaptic Pharmaceuticals Master Plan and Laboratories.

Jaffe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is a registered architect in 14 states and is NCARB certified.
