EYP selected for Parsons Hall renovation

The University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH, recently selected EYP to design the renovation of Parsons Hall, which houses the university’s chemistry department.

The firm will provide major renovation design services to update 120,000 sq ft of the 146,224-gross sq ft, 1960s academic building. EYP’s role will include upgrading complex engineering systems and an interior renovation to state-of-the-art teaching and research chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and material science laboratories, classrooms, and office spaces, as well as the University’s Instrumentation Center. Additionally, the firm will work closely with the University and the Construction Manager (Gilbane Building Company) to identify swing space options and ensure proper project phasing. To assist with multidisciplinary coordination, cost estimating, phasing and sequencing of the work, the design team is implementing the project in BIM.
