NEON to design RIBA Lounge at MIPIM UK

An expert panel has selected NEON as the winner of an RIBA Competition to design the RIBA Lounge at MIPIM UK. During the event - due to be held at Olympia London from 15 to 17 October 2014 - the RIBA Lounge will be used for networking, business events, and a showcase of British architecture. Furniture for the space will be provided by Herman Miller and the Lounge will be sponsored by Equisys and Ordnance Survey.

George King, Partner at NEON said: “NEON are thrilled to have been chosen to design the RIBA Lounge at MIPIM UK. The event promises to be a fantastic platform to showcase the best of British architecture and we are excited to be a part of it. We look forward to working with the RIBA to create a space that highlights the exceptional work of its members.”

Sean Blair, Equisys Timemaster Account Manager, said: “We were particularly impressed with [NEON’s] existing portfolio of work, specifically some of the shop window displays which really visualize how very small spaces can express such innovation and creativity. Their use of colour, space and materials are what really made this practice stand out; and we are looking forward to seeing some of their design proposals for the RIBA lounge.”
