Building Trust International Live Build Workshop in Cambodia 15-29 November

Following the success of its Spring Design + Build workshops, Building Trust International will be hosting an additional Live Build Workshop in Cambodia in November 2014.

Building Trust International have a number of sustainable design and build projects in Cambodia in 2014. From health centres, schools, wildlife conservation and further low cost housing. The team is offering a hands-on participatory workshop where volunteers will gain experience in sustainable building techniques and understand more about humanitarian design while building worthwhile projects that will have a huge benefit to the local community and local wildlife. Due to the fact that they will have a number of projects on the ground, volunteers will gain an insight into a number of building techniques and architectural styles.

The details of the build will depend on the design that is chosen by the community. The sooner people sign up, the more chance there is to be involved in the design process as well as the build component. This is a hands-on course working with others to learn on-site skills such as site management and material procurement. Volunteers will also see first-hand how Building Trust International promote and work with local communities, taking on traditional skills and a host of other sustainable building techniques.
