OVA Studio releases HIVE-INN CITY FARM

Following on from the HIVE-INN concept released in April this year, OVA Studio has released the latest development of the scheme: HIVE-INN CITY FARM. Imagined for New York, the scheme is an agricultural take on the original HIVE-INN concept which sees shipping containers reused as a multifunctional tower.

The design for the HIVE-INN utilises disused shipping containers and stacks them at right angles to one another to form an organic tower with maximum flexibility and mobility. The HIVE-INN CITY FARM would see the containers used as farming modules, acting as a stand-alone ecosystem where each unit plays a role in producing food, harvesting energy and recycling waste and water.
