KPF Principal named new Chair of the CTBUH

David Malott, Principal at the New York office of Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) and current Trustee of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has been appointed as the new Chair of the Council. He will take over from Timothy Johnson, Partner at NBBJ, who has held the position for the past three years, during an official ceremony in Shanghai this September.

Of the new Chair of the Council, Johnson said: “David’s appointment to Chairman from within the Board of Trustees marks an important strategic direction for the Council - one where it is considered more appropriate for the Leader to come from within this highest decision-making body, than from an external plane with no or little knowledge of the detailed workings of the Council.”

Both William Baker of SOM and William Maibusch, formerly of Turner Middle East, are stepping down this year and therefore a call has been made for two new trustees. Professionals with the following backgrounds have been encouraged to apply: Building Developer; Investor; Contractor; Construction Professional; Urban Planner; MEP Engineer.

More information on how to apply can be found here.
