Bowlarama: California Bowling Architecture 1954-1964

From 11 April until 11 May 2014, the A+D Architecture and Design Museum Los Angeles will be hosting an exhibition dedicated to the architecture of bowling centres. Bowlarama: California Bowling Architecture 1954-1964 looks back to the golden age of bowling in 1950s America and showcases the retro design style associated with the sport. Rather than focusing solely on the architecture itself, Bowlarama also considers the culture that was created as a result of the social pastime. The exhibition also looks at the ways in which bowling architecture has been incorporated into contemporary design.

More information about the exhibition can be found here.
