John Rhodes joins HOK from Populous

HOK has announced that John Rhodes is to be the new Director of Entertainment and Sport Architecture at its London office. Rhodes joins HOK from Populous and has previously worked with HOK on the masterplan for the successful Dubai World Expo 2020 bid.

Rhodes is recognised for his work in motor sport infrastructure with past projects including the new Siverstone Circuit and pits facility in Northamptonshire (UK), the Formula One Circuit, Facilities and Masterplan in Mumbai, the London Grand Prix 2012 Virtual Circuit and the Moscow Autodrome.

“We have known John and admired his work for many years, and have always been impressed with his visionary ideas and exciting, imaginative projects," said Larry Malcic, Design Principal for HOK’s European practice.

"I am delighted that he has chosen to work with us in London to help expand our skills in many areas, including entertainment and sport facilities, urban design and regeneration, and mixed-use developments that require the collective expertise of HOK’s design specialists."
