Quebec’s unique Hôtel de Glace snow and ice hotel opens its doors for three months

The Hôtel de Glace has been a winter feature in Quebec since 2001.

Constructed entirely from snow and ice over a period of several weeks, it opened its doors last Friday and will welcome guests and visitors until 23 March.

Inspired by the theme Myths and Legends from Around the World, all the hotel suites, which are reserved for overnight guests after 8pm, along with the bar, lobby and chapel were imaginatively designed to show visitors a world of wonders everywhere they turn.

Visitors can admire the scintillating ice chandelier and enjoy the ever-popular Super Slide, snowshoe trails, the Ice Bar serving cocktails in sparkling glasses made of ice and 44 themed rooms and suites. They can even go on a special Behind the Scenes tour to discover the secrets of the hotel’s impressive construction.
