Conran and Partners to spruce up Sussex Heights

The tallest residential building on the south coast of England is to receive immediate and long-term maintenance works overseen by Conran and Partners. Originally designed by Richard Seifert and constructed between 1966 and 1968, the 23-storey Sussex Heights is located in the tourist hotspot of Brighton and enjoys far-reaching views over the coast. The Grade II listed property will benefit from maintenance and refurbishment including window replacement.

Paul Zara, director of Conran Partners, said: “We love working with old buildings and have a lot of experience with different eras and styles, but we find owners of mid to late 20th century buildings are turning to us more and more for our expertise. At Sussex Heights we will advise the board on how best to improve the façade and windows and we will assist in a plan of works that will address immediate and long term maintenance issues for what is a striking landmark in Brighton.”
