Rem Koolhaas, Henry Cobb and Zhang Yue to speak at CTBUH Annual Awards Ceremony on 7 November

The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has revealed the line-up of speakers for its annual symposium in Chicago. The CTBUH 12th Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner will be held at the Mies van der Rohe-designed Crown Hall at the Illinois Institute of Technology on 7 November with a series of presentations from winners of this year’s regional Best Tall Building Awards, after which the Best Tall Building Worldwide will be announced.

This year the four regional winners are: The Bow, Calgary (Foster + Partners); CCTV Headquarters, Beijing (OMA); The Shard, London (Renzo Piano Building Workshop); and Sowwah Square, Abu Dhabi (Goettsch Partners). Prior to the full awards ceremony, the CTBUH will host a series of expert presentations from the following speakers among others:

Henry Cobb, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners
Nigel Dancey, Foster + Partners
James Goettsch, Goettsch Partners
Rem Koolhaas, OMA
