EDAW name change

International planning, design and environmental firm EDAW will change its name to Design + Planning at AECOM, beginning October 2009. The name change signifies AECOM’s evolution to a more deeply integrated industry-leading consultancy.

“EDAW has been a member of AECOM since 2005,” said EDAW President Jason Prior. “Now we’re developing closer integration with our colleagues in order to better address the challenges of our time. As part of the new AECOM, we are able to draw from an extraordinary breadth of experience and expertise to address land-based and community challenges as we face an era of climate change, urbanization, and resource scarcity.”

AECOM’s professional network includes planners, engineers, architects, economists, environmental professionals, and a myriad of allied specialists located throughout more than 100 countries.
