British Council launches open call for applications for the first Lina Bo Bardi Fellowship

The British Council, together with Brazilian arts financing entity SESC and Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi, has launched an open call for applications from architects and designers who are interested in exploring Italian architect Lina Bo Bardi’s work in Brazil.

The new research residency, which will take place in October and November this year, will give UK-based architects and designers the opportunity to travel to Brazil to explore Lina Bo Bardi’s and other practitioners’ work and to formulate ideas for a project to be pursued back in the UK.

The awardee will receive a grant to fund the trip and accommodation and will be able to attend workshops at the school of Architecture in Sao Paolo, be granted access to the archives of Bo Bardi’s work, and speak with people who worked with her.

The deadline for applications for the open call is 4pm GMT on Thursday.
