Florida-based api (+), which specialises in retail architecture and design, has won three awards at US magazine Progressive Grocer’s 2013 store design contest.

The firm’s Toronto-based Yummy Market won the ‘Best remodel for under $3m’ category while its Super 1 Foods in Tyler, Texas, carried off the ‘Best discount format’ award.

Finally, Schnucks in Ballwin, Missouri, was runner-up for best overall store design for a new construction under 50,000 sq ft.
