Details of the Hyperloop coming shortly

Co-founder of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors and spacecraft construction experts SpaceX, Elon Musk has announced that he will be revealing details of a highly innovative method of transportation on 12 August 2013.

Details of the Hyperloop are few and far between, with Musk stating that the system is ‘a cross between a Concorde, a rail gun, and an air-hockey table’, and will be able to transport passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in half an hour travelling at 800 miles per hour.

A tweet on the businessman’s feed on Monday 15 July read: “Will publish Hyperloop alpha design by Aug 12. Critical feedback for improvements would be much appreciated.”
