500,000 sq m mixed-use Al Bayt 57 scheme in Saudi Arabia secured by Dewan Architects & Engineers

Al Bayt Development Company has selected Dewan Architects & Engineers to design its latest mixed-use development in the Middle East. Al Bayt 57, so called as it will be the 57th project for the development company, will encompass 500,000 sq m of space near Khobar waterfront in Saudi Arabia when it completes in 2015.

Across the 40,000 sq m site, Dewan Architects & Engineers have designed 9 22-storey towers to house a 5-star hotel, 1,500 luxury 2, 3 and 4-bedroom apartment units, Grade A commercial offices and a 25,000 sq m shopping mall. These facilities will sit on top of a 2-storey podium and basement with parking for 2,500 cars.

Ammar Al Assam, Executive Director of Dewan Architects, comments: "The unique design, composition, size and grandeur of Al Bayt 57 mixed use development will define it as one of the Kingdom's most iconic projects. We are proud of working with Al Bayt and of the design of this complex, which will marry world-class facilities with high quality-of-life, environmentally friendly living spaces, all alongside an outstanding retail address.”
