World's largest building opens in Chengdu

The biggest building in the world opened it's doors in the Chinese city of Chengdu this week. New Century Global Center by developers Exhibition and Travel Group is large enough to house 20 Sydney Opera Houses and offers visitors shopping malls, an ice-skating rink, a cinema, office units, a water park and a 'Mediterranean Village'.

At 500m long, 400m wide and 100m high, this immense form has secured its position as the largest building in the world. A marine theme ripples throughout the complex, from its waving roofscape to the 5,000 sq m artificial beach accompanied by the world's largest LED media screen and artificial sun.
