New York-based architect Hani Rashid announced as new President of the Kiesler Foundation Vienna

The Kiesler Foundation Vienna has announced a new President in New York-based architect Hani Rashid who will take over from Dieter Bogner who has held the position for 16 years. The Austrian Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Private Foundation was founded in 1997 to educate the public on the heritage of Austro-American architect Frederick Kiesler (1890-1965) in parallel with the Austrian Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Prize for Architecture and Art, given every two years with a prize fund of €55,000.

On the announcement, Dr. Claudia Schmied, Austrian Federal Minister for Education, the Arts and Culture said: “I am happy that the internationally renowned Kiesler Prize winner Hani Rashid could be won as the new Head of the Board for the Austrian Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Foundation. Rashid’s perception of the arts and architecture are closely connected to the oeuvre of the great visionary Frederick Kiesler. My special thanks go to Dieter Bogner, who for decades responsibly and purposefully positioned the Kiesler Foundation in the international cultural community. He made an important contribution in imparting the multidisciplinary, visionary art and architectural approach of Frederick Kiesler.”
