Confirmation of Dutch Embassy move to Nine Elms

The Dutch Embassy in London has confirmed that it will relocate from its current home at Hyde Park Gate to the planned Nine Elms development on the South Bank. Masterplanned by Sir Terry Farrell, Nine Elms will comprise 2,000 homes, a kilometre-long Linear Park by Camlins and 130,000 sq ft of retail units.

The Kieran Timberlake and OLIN-designed US Embassy is currently under construction at Nine Elms and is due to complete in 2017. The Dutch Embassy will be located next to this.

John Mulryan, UK Managing Director of developers Ballymore Group says: “I am delighted that the Dutch Embassy has chosen Embassy Gardens as its new home in London. Embassy Gardens has been recognised by both UK and international audiences as an exceptional one-off landmark development which will be at the heart of a new and exciting destination for central London.”
