Just this week, Jill Lerner, principal of Kohn Pederson Fox Associates, has been inaugurated as the 2013 chapter president of the American Institute of Architects New York (AIANY).

Jill's focus for AIANY in 2013 is “Global City/Global Practice.” In today’s globalised economy, coupled with the region’s recent challenges, AIANY will promote programs that address how cities around the globe at risk for environmental disasters prepare and respond.

As a result the programs at the Centre for Architecture have the aim of bringing together municipal city officials, industry leaders, and design professionals to discuss relevant international issues to help prepare for the future.
