1.1 million sq ft Samsung Headquarters designed for San Jose by NBBJ

NBBJ are currently designing the new San Jose Headquarters for Samsung Semiconductor Inc., a leader in the manufacture of semiconductors and displays used for mobile devices.

Encompassing an exhibition centre, various offices, pedestrian pathways and social spaces for employees, the headquarters building will spread over 1.1 million sq ft making it the largest Samsung development in the State of California. The NBBJ-designed building is due for completion in 2014.

NBBJ Design Partner Jonathan Ward explains: “The Samsung project is a great opportunity to craft a dynamic campus that can attract creative thinkers and engineers to forge the future of Samsung. The San Jose campus will bring together the best thinking of Samsung in Seoul with the expertise of people in the Silicon Valley to create something very special.”
