Ecobuild Southeast Asia to be held in Malaysia from 17-19 September 2013

Established sustainable trade event Ecobuild has released details of its latest venture: Ecobuild Southeast Asia. Organised by UBM Built Environment, the event will be hosted at Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 17-19 September 2013, co-located with Greenbuild Asia. Last year, Greenbuild Asia hosted 11,000 trade buyers and 450 exhibiting companies from 32 countries.

UBM Built Environment International Director, Eliane van Doorn explained: “We have selected Malaysia from a list of countries in the region due to the invitation and support extended to us from the Construction Industry Development Board and initiatives taken by Malaysian Government in promoting green technology.”

The move has been inspired by the growth of industries in Southeast Asia and will welcome senior government officials, developers, architects, consultants, contractors and planners to educate and inspire debate on the latest industry developments.

van Doorn continues: “Our aim with Ecobuild Southeast Asia is to provide a regionally and internationally respected event to attract international leaders and suppliers to the region. Southeast Asia offers suppliers unparalleled business opportunities and we’re delighted to be able to facilitate a route into this highly profitable market.”
