Asia Pacific 2012 Award for BDP Khandekar’s Nirlon Knowledge Park in Goregoan

Work is progressing with speed on Phase II of Netherlands-based BDP Khandekar’s Nirlon Knowledge Park in Goregoan, Mumbai. The Dutch arm of international firm BDP recently picked up the Asia Pacific 2012 Award in the commercial renovation / redevelopment sector for its design of the Nirlon Knowledge Park. The sustainable high-density campus has the capacity for 20,000 employees and is located on the site of a former factory complex.

Speaking on the recent award win, Shyam Khandekar, Chairman of BDP’s Dutch and Indian studios, explained: “We are thrilled to win such a prestigious award in the company of such well-established names from the building and development industry. For this relatively young developer, to win a prize with its first project is a fantastic achievement for Nirlon and one of which BDP are also proud.”

The Nirlon Knowledge Park is the subject of WAN’s Mumbai Metroblogger Pallavi Shrivastava’s post this week after she took a business trip to the site. Read her account here.
