2014 completion date for Kashimbila Dam

The 40MW Kashimbila Dam in Taraba State, Nigeria will be completed by April 2014, Darius Ishaku, Minister of State for Power has confirmed. The official made the promise during a meeting when the Governor of Tabada State Danbaba Suntai made a visit to Abjua recently.

Costing N60.63bn, the project is a multi-purpose dam which has been instigated to ensure a consistent supply of electricity to all Nigerians for both domestic and commercial uses. It is hoped that the project will encourage economic growth across the region.
