Two more days to register for Building Trust International 'Home' design competition

Registration for the Building Trust International ‘Home’ Competition needs to be completed in two days, by midnight 30 June 2012. Submissions must be received by midnight 21 July 2012. The ‘Home’ Competition invites architects and designers to conceptualise a low cost, sustainable solution to issues of homelessness and the elderly in society.

Each entry must address an urban site and retain a small scale, i.e. a home for an individual. Submissions will be assessed on the qualities of function, structure, design detail and the need for shelter. Building Trust International explains: “Lack of provision of quality small scale housing stock in developed countries often means those that are most vulnerable in our society live in sub-standard living conditions. The HOME design competition hopes to shed light on this and open the doors to designers and house builders that want to make a difference.”
