Historic site at Tower Bridge to gain extensive residential development

Squire and Partners has revealed new details of a residential project on the River Thames: One Tower Bridge. The development will see nine individual buildings constructed in four very different housing styles to provide luxury residential accommodation. Spread over 6,500 sq m, the complex will be anchored by a new street connecting the development to the southern end of Tower Bridge, hence the project’s name.

Designed by Berkeley Design Team and Squire and Partners, the One Tower Bridge project will be located on a historic site on the South Bank at Tower Bridge. Michael Squire, senior partner at Squire and Partners comments: “The vision for One Tower Bridge was to successfully link the project to recent and historical development in both the immediate vicinity and wider context. In terms of materials, scale and plan the proposals create a lasting high quality residential development appropriate to the surrounding historical and riverside context of Potters Fields Park.”
