3,000 sq m Lord Attenborough Stage dedicated at Pinewood Studios

LIFE Build Solutions and Foster Willis Architects have completed the second largest stage in the world - second only to Pinewood’s 007 Stage - at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

Dedicated to Lord Attenborough, the celebrated film director and producer, the 3,000 sq m stage is 61.87m long by 45.11m wide and reaches 15.24m high. Built on a 32 week fast-track construction programme, the covered stage was completed within budget and on time.

Roy Foster of Foster Willis Architects explains: “This was a very high speed project which had to meet exacting cost and performance standards. It was an outstanding achievement in such a congested, demanding environment.”
